Description
Fiberlogy's PEI 9085 is a high-performance filament made from ULTEM™ 9085 resin that boasts incredible strength and stiffness. The unique filament combines the strength of steel and the lightness of aluminum, making it ideal for producing parts that can withstand the toughest of loads. Ideal for applications in the automotive, railroad and aerospace industries, where parts printed with this material can replace metal components.
The material is non-flammable (UL94 V0), has high dielectric strength and good thermal conductivity. It is also resistant to abrasion, high temperatures up to 180 °C, solvents and UV rays.
Tip: PEI 9085 can be processed in 3D printers that are suitable for high temperature materials (PEEK, PEKK, PEI, etc.). To achieve the best printing results, a heated chamber is required to ensure even heat distribution.
Possible applications:
Aviation: Machine parts, structural elements, ventilation elements
Automotive: engine components, spare parts, sensor housings
Electronics: connectors, electronic housings, cable insulation, fuel cell components
Defense industry: covers for weapon systems, lighting housings, housings for optical systems
